The Royal Garter Knit Shawl (scarf) is a great pattern to customise your own colour story.  It starts with a long cast on edge, trimmed with eyelets, before traveling to a much smaller cast off edge – one side decreasing twice, the other side increasing once – to create an intriguing and drape worthy style.  This is an easier, rhythmic knit and makes a create design to perfect your eyelets, increases and decreases, while working a simple flowing knit.
