Can be knit in FIVE or THREE colours – you choose!

We recommend this pattern as an advanced beginner (intermediate), suitable for the knitter who can knit, purl, follow patterns of knit and purl, cast on and off. It is knit flat on circular needles and we recommend to knit on circular needles – so the blanket grows on your lap! 

Finished size is estimated at 1.2m square

KNIT KIT INCLUDES:

  • 13 x Balls of Sumptuous 75grm in your choice of colours (12 for the blanket, 1 for the border)
  • 5mm (US 15mm) Knitpro Symphonie circular needles with 80cm cable, 5mm Double Pointed Needles (both OPTIONAL)
  • Pattern + ongoing support

2021 BIG BLANKET Knit Kit Colour Options:

Pattern Level: Intermediate (Advanced Beginner)

Estimated Knit Time: 10+ hours

Wool: Sumptuous; blend of NZ Alpaca and NZ Polwarth Wool

Needles: 5mm, can be knit on straights or circulars with 80cm cable

Skills: Knit, cast on, cast off, change colour,  follow patterns of knit and purl stitches

Pattern by: Michelle Joy (Stewart), written in a less traditional style to be less technical and give the crafter room to adjust the fit and style

Notes:

This blanket kit was our wildly popular 2021 MYSTERY Knit Along!  Each square is made up of 3 panels; each panel uses one ball of 75grm Sumptuous and introduces a NEW texture.  There are 12 panels in total plus an extra ball for an i-cord border to finish your blanket – you will need 5mm DPN’s for this (Double Pointed Needles).
