Description
The Royale II Garter Knit Shawl Knit Kit was designed by me – Michelle Joy (Stewart), written in a less traditional style to be less technical and give the crafter room to adjust the fit and style.
Based of the original Royale (which was knit in Smooth Merino) this pattern was updated to extend a little further and be knit in the fun colours of Sumptuous. The pattern starts with a long cast on edge featuring eyelets, before making it’s way every smaller on the bias – until just one stitch remains.

Notes:
The Royal Garter Knit Shawl (scarf) is a great pattern to customise your own colour story. It starts with a long cast on edge, trimmed with eyelets, before traveling on the bias in every decreasing amounts until just one stitch remains– one side decreasing twice, the other side increasing once – to create an intriguing and drape worthy style. This is an easier, rhythmic knit and makes a create design to perfect your eyelets, increases and decreases, while working a simple flowing knit.
This kit is suitable for knitters who are comfortable with knit and purl, the pattern design requires knitting stitches together, yarn over eyelets, and lifting a loop to make a stitch. Knit in one piece with no sewing at the end. It is suitable for those moving on from beginner.
